Vlado is a professor of computer and information science at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
He focuses on novel software engineering technology, semantics, distributed, edge, fog, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, digital twins and blockchain technologies and their integration.
Flagship projects include DataMiningGrid, InteliGrid, mOSAIC, SWITCH, ENTICE, and DECENTER. Vlado Stankovski is a scientific and technical coordinator of the Horizon 2020 Next Generation Internet ONTOCHAIN and TRUSTCHAIN projects.
He also participates in the ExtremeXP, ACES, BUILDCHAIN, EBSI-VECTOR and Swarmchestrate Horizon Europe projects.
He is the WP2 leader whose work provides the modelling and language foundations for experiment-driven analytics.
This includes addressing software variability aspects, experiment specification, and context, laying the groundwork for trustworthiness and traceability layers and the ExtremeXP framework's software architecture.
His contributions extend to developing novel meta-models and domain-specific modelling languages to describe and optimize complex analytics processes, enabling the specification of experiment variants mapped to user intents and contexts.
This effort includes key metrics for evaluating and refining analytics at runtime, feeding directly into other technical work packages and providing a foundation for tools like experimentation engines and monitoring facilities.
