Yiannis is an Assistant Professor in Management Information Systems in the Department of Business Administration at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB).
He is also a senior researcher at the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS), Athens, Greece which participates in ExtremeXP.
He has more than 15 years of experience in ICT projects in several research areas such as : management of information systems, workflow management, complex event processing,
cloud computing and cloud security.
He holds Diploma and Doctoral degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. He has worked as an adjunct lecturer in the department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of the University of Thessaly and as an adjunct lecturer in the Technological Educational Institute of Kalamata.
In his current role, Yiannis is contributing to ExtremeXP, specifically in Task 2.3 on Traceability and trustworthiness for experiment-driven analytics and in WP5, where he is a Task 5.5 leader, on an Adaptive experiment-driven complex analytics framework.
Specifically, he focuses on research and development of :
i) a Non-Fungible Token (NFT)-based dataset provenance mechanism for transparently and immutably ‘tagging’ with metadata the datasets used for experiment-driven analytics.
ii) a context-aware access control for experiment-driven analytics.
iii) on the secure management of decentralized data and knowledge for and from experiments.
